The fight OFF loneliness

I do not want to think I am the only person in the world who feels so lonely and sad when not around people or activities.

I want to think I love engaging in different kinds of activities and because I am a social being, I find myself belonging to every group around me. I love working, I just love doing stuffs outside the house, staying at home for a whole day is like sickness to me.

Every now and then I pray to have the heart to love everyone and anyone, but sometimes it feels  like I am either  not praying enough or I am not making the right request, only recently did I realize that I needed to love myself first then extend to others. I am glad I know the right request to table to God now.

Lesli Musicar, Toronto-based counsellor and psychotherapist, says that many people don’t admit they suffer from loneliness just like me.

“A lot of people who feel lonely, you’d never suspect in a million years,” she says. “They might go out a lot, or be highly social, but their interactions stay mainly on the surface. So even though they may give the impression of being popular, those people may be feeling very lonely underneath it all because they aren’t letting people get close to them.”

CHAPTER 3: What Drives Your Life

1. Fear is self-imposed prison that will keep you from becoming what God intends for you to be.

2.  Self-worth and net worth are not the same. Your value is not determined by your valuables, and God says the most valuable things in life are not things.

3. The greatest tragedy is not death but life without purpose.

4.  Without a clear purpose, you will keep changing directions, jobs,  relationships, churches, or other externals —hopinyeach change will settle the confusion or fill the emptiness in your heart.

5.  Never activity with productivity.

6.  Many people spend their lives trying to Create a lasting legacy on earth. They want to be remembered when they are gone. Yet, what ultimately matters most will not be what others say about your life but what God says.

7.  Living to create an earthly legacy is a short-sighted goal. A wiser use of time is to build an eternal legacy.

8.  You weren't put on earth to be remembered.  You were put here to prepare for eternity.

9.  On the last day God will ask us these questions: What did you do with my Son, Jesus Christ?  What did you do with what I gave you?

CHAPTER 2:  You Are Not An Accident

1. God custom-made your body just the way he wanted it.

2.  Because God mad you for a reason, he also decided when you would be born and how long you would live.

3.  God also planned where you'd be born and where you'd live for his purpose. Your race and nationality are no accidents.

4.  Nothing in your life is arbitrary. It is all for purpose.

5.  It does not matter whether your parents were good, bad,  or indifferent. God knew that those two individuals possessed exactly the the right genetic makeup to create the custom "you" he had in mind. They had the DNA God wanted to make you.

6.  While there are illegitimate parents, there are no illegitimate children.

7.  God never does anything accidentally,  he never makes mistakes.

8.  God's motive for creating you was his love.

9.  If there was no God,  we would all be accidents.

10. God made you so he could love you.

Hi dear, I will be dropping bullet power points from my journey through 'The purpose driven life' by Rick Warren.

Before I do that, do you remember my previous post about how I quit my job to learn photography?


If you don't, check my previous write-up for it. The concluding part of the story is - I did the training for about 7 weeks, got a job as a content creator in a digital marketing company and right now Boom!!! I am out of that job and that is why I am writing.

But I am so excited about what the next step would look like for me.

Okay enough of all that,  let's get straight to business.

CHAPTER 1 ( It All Starts With God)

1. You didn't create yourself,  so there is no way you can tell yourself what you were created for.


2. You cannot arrive at your life's purpose by starting with a focus on yourself. you must begin with God, your creator.


3.  Life is about letting God use you for his purpose.


4. Attention to God leads us out into the open,  into a spacious free life.


5. The Bible says  "Self-help is not help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way,  my way,  to finding yourself, your true self. "


6.  To discover your purpose in life you must turn to God's Word, not the world's wisdom.  You must build your life on eternal truths.


7.  Without God, life makes no sense.

This bright morning  was indeed my first breath of freedom after my resignation from an 8 to 5pm office job  without a dime in my pocket, only for me to find myself standing  right here to learn the act of photography haven crossed 7 seas and rivers.
The question is, what was i doing there? why did i journey this far to this studio ?
I am sure i will get the answersto these questions as i proceed. Meanwhile  my classes starts on tuesday, i am eager to know the end even before i begin.

accelerate conference 2017 DAY 2

Oh yes, welcome back so I started sharing my accelerate note with you yesterday and I pray to God for strength to continue till the end.

Accelerate DAY 2 was such a wonderful day, you know after Dr Otabil ministered on the first day, I felt I have heard it all, it was like the conference was over, but little did I know it was just the beginning.

So in day 2 we had two powerful speakers; pastor Lanre Ijiwola , founder Citylight Church Chicago and our host pastor, Godman Akinlabi AKA  Pgeeman. I am so giggling because everyone had a giggling experience .

So I will be sharing my note on Pgeeman's ministration for today and I will give us pastor Lanre's note on sunday . so are we good to go ? lets roll.

So the mind blowing accelerate conference  prayer was lead by our beautiful pastor ,Mrs Bolarinwa Akinlabi who happens to be our Pgeeman,s  boo  (clearing my throat). lets move on, I just felt like talking about her  because I like her so much.

TOPIC:RELEVANT SPEED

Relevant speed is the greatest thing that can happen to you in this life. what you  call movement is not movement without the right direction  1corinthians  9:24-28 (²⁴ Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. ²⁵ Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. ²⁶ Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. ²⁷ No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize)

Do not just run  aimlessly, rather run with purpose in every step you take .

Relevant speed is running towards the right direction, towards the right thing , it doesn't necessarily  mean running fast or faster than your peers  oh no, its not , it is simply stopping when you are suppose  to stop, going where you are suppose to go, doing what you are suppose to do all at the right time and with a God given  purpose in mind.

lets take a look at David in the bible, David ran towards the right thing, so his speed was relevant. people were running away from Goliath but David ran towards Goliath. Now can you imagine if David had ran away from Goliath Just like everyone was doing , his speed would have become an irrelevant speed. He was led by the holy spirit and he didn't struggle with it, relevant speed entails you  walking according to the instructions of the holy spirit ,having an open mind to hear the spirit speak to you. Relevant speed leverage the right situation the right people or the right thing.

Ecclesiastics  9:11

¹¹ I returned and saw under the sun that—

The race is not to the swift,
Nor the battle to the strong,
Nor bread to the wise,
Nor riches to men of understanding,
Nor favor to men of skill;
But time and chance happen to them all

  Relevant speed brings you into divine establishment, just that one speed of relevance David followed, made him to be seen as a king and brought honor to him even before he became king. In other words, relevant speed announces you to your world .

Also remember that not every ground is you ground, in  Deuteronomy  chapter 2:3-6, God spoke to the Israelites through Moses saying  ''³ ‘You have skirted this mountain long enough; turn northward. ⁴ And command the people, saying, “You are about to pass through the territory of your brethren, the descendants of Esau, who live in Seir; and they will be afraid of you. Therefore watch yourselves carefully. ⁵ Do not meddle with them, for I will not give you any of their land, no, not so much as one footstep, because I have given Mount Seir to Esau as a possession. ⁶ You shall buy food from them with money, that you may eat; and you shall also buy water from them with money, that you may drink "

You cannot accelerate in every direction, nop, you cant accelerate, don't even try to . in relevant speed you run on purpose, walk like the Israelites .

standing in the right place can sometimes be relevant speed, because the other option would have been to fall. God told the Israelite to stand when the cloud is not moving and move when the cloud moves.   Exodus 14:13  ( And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever.). So dear, when you stand is relevant speed, not when you fall, falling is not an option  and I pray that the journey that is suppose to take you 40days to complete will not take you 40yrs in life in Jesus name Amen.

God wants to guide you, he wants to lead you to the promise land so that you can fulfill your destiny, the wilderness is just a road to pass on your way to your promise land, it is not meant to be your hangout or permanent abode, your destiny cannot be fulfilled in the wilderness. most people have chosen to make the wilderness their stop point, meanwhile God is telling them to keep moving.

YOU MOVE WITH IRRELEVANT SPEED WHEN YOU DO THE FOLLOWING;

• When you suffer spiritual disconnect : When you start living a disconnected life from the word of God, you become insane, everything all of a sudden start telling you to do your own thing the way you want, you start seeing insane things as sane , for Instance you were once faithful to your spouse and all of a sudden you just decided that you cant keep tieing  one wrapper for too long, or you want to start tasting different soup (you know what I am talking about) now that's called insanity, you are totally disconnected, you are living a disconnected life.
  

  
• When you engage in comparison and copying with other people: My moma calls this "wanting to be with jones" and av been wondering who this Jones was. live your life the way God wants you to live, don't follow others, do not follow the world. don't go to the bar because everyone around you is doing so and they seems to be the popular people in your , don't tell lies or receive bribe because everyone is doing so to get to the top, remember you are unique, avoid cutting corners and try not to cut your life short.Any one who engages in  irrelevant speed is playing with life, wait for your time.

• When you start to suffer mental laziness and you are doing nothing about it: Proverbs 12:27 (The lazy man does not roast what he took in hunting,But diligence is man’s precious possession.). The lazy man cannot package his hunt, because he is lazy, he cannot process it. we have potentials but we cannot take action, we have products but we cannot make them marketable, Nigeria has crude oil but she cannot refine it, she sells to  foreigners, they  refine it and sell the finished product back to us we need prayers. when you realize you are mentally lazy, start doing something about it, start from prayer and works.
  

  

SIGNS THAT YOUR SPEED IS IRRELEVANT

1. Gambling with money in business: you have done 5 different businesses in one year and non is working, you have just been trying your luck wasting money without gain , you need Jesus.
   

   
2. Going in and out of relationships: you just keep dating without direction, keep changing relationships because you are looking for a suitable spouse, brother sister you are confuse, wait for direction, ur speed is irrelevant.
3. Doing things you don't have the grace for : because James is a musician and he is prospering does not mean you too can do well in music, don't leave your country because you think people outside are doing so well, sister if your grace is not there you will come back worst than you left. stay where God has planted you to be  and stop moving to and fro .

STAY IN THE PLACE OF YOUR GRACE UNLESS YOU WILL BE DISGRACED

Accelerate conference 2017 DAY1

This is me trying to help you catch up on what you missed on the first day of accelerate 2017 (WED 28TH JUNE) at the elevation church lekki.
Dr Omensa Otabil happens to be the speaker on the first day, trust me it was thrilling.So I will be sharing my note with you, KEEP READING  and yes thank GOD .

TOPIC : where are you?

ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: Genesis 3:8&9

For you to locate where you are in life, you will have to consider two important factors

1. stages of life which is hierarchical

2.circles of life which is repetitive    

1John 5:12-14

1. STAGES OF LIFE:  There are three stages of life, they are; the child stage, adult stage and elder stage. So you are either a child, an adult or an elder at every stage.

            A child is at the learning stage of life always wanting to be spoon-fed and lead by the hand.

            An adult is committed to living, always looking for challenges and problems  to solve .

            An elder focus on legacies, always wanting to empower someone  hebrews 5:12-14.

                NOW THE QUESTION IS , WHERE ARE YOU? WHERE DO YOU FIT IN?

        It is Gods desire for us to grow to become elders  but unfortunately most people grow in age but are never mature in experience . now lets talk about the circles of life

       2.  CIRCLES OF SEASONS OF LIFE:

     There are 6 broad circles of seasons stated in genesis 8:21,they are;

• SEED TIME: This is the time for sacrifice, it is the time when you invest in those things you require for it to give you what you need, it is the time of sweat, tilling the soil and planting of crops, it is the time to acquire new skills, build your business, it is not a time for reward so be sure not to expect a reward during this season.

  

• HARVEST SEASON:  This is the season of reward for your hard work or smart work, it is the time of abundance, its the time of  reaping  and as such it needs more work . My uncle will  say "hardwork brings you success  and success gives you more work"

  

• COLD OR WINTER:  The cold season is a dry season, it is a season of lonliness,it is a time in your life when it looks like nothing is working for you, it is a time you start experiencing setbacks in you career, its a time when everything s gone dry , but the good news is, no matter how dry the leaves of the tree becomes during this season, when spring comes it will live again, so do not cut down that tree. Don't cut down the business  you have already started just because of the cold, no no no don't do that, although it looks dead but surely it will rise again.

  

•  SUMMER:  Yipeeee this is the bright season after the gloomy cold, its warm and embracing you can smile again at this season, because now your business is coming back to life hallelujah.

• NIGHT :  Hmmm this is a quiet dark period, I am sure you know. the night is dark and quiet, you are hardly seen, its a time when people sleep and dream. The night season is a time when you dream and picture your future so that you will become greater , it is a time when you are totally unnoticed , it is a time when your hardwork and creativity is never noticed, simply put, it is a lowkey season so endeavor to make the most out of it .

  

• DAY : wooooooo its light time, its exposure time, after the night comes the light, its a time when you are recognized, its a time when you become a star in you field.  have you heard this popular Nigerian phrase "this guy just come from nowhere " oh yes that's what they will always say, you came from nowhere little did they know you have been equiping yourself for a greater height during the dark times when you weren't noticed but "suddenly"  they all see it as suddenly.Some persons call it 'luck' but no no no, it is no luck , it was simply the product of your night vision and  consistency . note that this time brings so much reward and ofcourse so much enemies too, because you can only be noticed in the light not the dark .

  

        So I would like us to know that our seasons are different, my harvest season may be your  seed time season , just be patient and do what you ought to do when you enter into any one of them, every season has its benefits because God is preparing you for  greatness, no season of life is a disadvantage to you, non is a curse therefore do not curse any season for they are blessings in different ways , do not rush out of the seasons of life .

      God deals with us in the seasons of life, he shapens us  (Gen 16:6-11)  and sometimes what appears logical is not spiritual so you need to pray to God to open the eyes of your understanding.

       Finally, every season is at its highest peak  when it is about to change. when you are not in the season of harvest, harvest is a temptation. when you are in the sowing season you can fast a thousand years and you will not have a breakthrough  because it is not the time. It took Jacob 21yrs to comeout to the light  GOD IS PRPARING YOU FOR GROWTH , so once again WHERE ARE YOU ?
